Marie Van Impe (2004)

Artistic Vision

In her work, she plays with the viewer's gaze. She questions and manipulates the way the body is perceived by:

• Removing the body from its original context.

Methodology

Through the use of collages, she breaks down existing hierarchies. For her, collage is not merely a technique but a way of thinking: a strategy to pry open the gaze and create space for alternative perspectives.
